Last night I stayed up pretty grotesquely late. Around one, I was going to head upstairs to bed, but my dad was all OMG WATCH THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH ON AMC and I was all OMG IT'S THE ORIGINAL, so I did. Then Robot Chicken Star Wars was on, which I had not seen but had always been ordered to. Needless to say it was four-ish - well, later, honestly - before I went to bed, then I read the Hobbit for a while.

Dad woke me up before eleven this morning, and I started cleaning the house. Relations showed up today, and the house - where I don't normally live, I think it's important to mention - was pretty narsty when I came home on Saturday. I've been dusting and vacuuming and killing spiders since my glorious return, but much still needed to be done today. So I did most of it, while watching The Big Sleep on AMC. Have I mentioned I love having a TV and cable? Anyway, soon I was informed that I had a dentist's appointment in Dubuque - about a 45 minute drive - so we all piled in the car, me all dirty from cleaning all day, my siblings fresh from school, and headed over there. I was, as usual, chastised for not flossing. My kid brother got his braces off, so good for him and such. We had subs from Pickle Barrel - a heavenly experience, as always - and headed home for some more hasty tidying.

The relations arrived, there was Hullabaloo, I managed to sneak away and write a bunch of novel, and recently everybody went to sleep, apparently, since the house is now silent except for this really noisy keyboard.

Gah so much homework to get done over break. Gah.
